Introduction To Floorball Registration

The introductory Floorball session held a couple of Saturday’s ago was a tremendous success and a great deal of fun for all.  The time to register for the inaugural Floorball season is now.

The session runs every Saturday morning, from 9:00 – 10:30 for eight consecutive weeks, beginning June 2 and concluding July 28, 2012.  It is not mandatory that the participant attend every session. 

While an open format of pick-up games with age appropriate divisions will be followed there will also be instruction, with the individual sessions following a theme.  The instructional areas that will be focused on will be as follows:

1.      Stick positioning.  Anticipating and reacting.
2.     Learning the difference between getting to an “open lane” vs. “open space”.
3.     How to play without the ball.  Offensively and defensively.
4.     How to become a better passer.

These instructional areas will serve all participants well and are easily transferable to both roller and ice hockey.

The cost for the eight week session will be $100.00.  This fee will include use of the roller rink Floorball space, goals, sticks and balls.

All sessions will be monitored and the instruction will be provided by experienced adult coaches.

Floorball is open to all ages as well as adults.  It is great to see the parents out on the floor joining in the fun with their sons and daughters.
