2012 Power Skating/Skills Ice Hockey Camp

Camp will be held every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for the entire month of June, Designed to work on Power Skating Techniques, Over speed, agility, weight training, and skill based fundamentals.

The 2012 Power Skating/Skills Ice Hockey Camp will be held every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for the entire month of June, Designed to work on Power Skating Techniques, Over speed, agility, weight training, and skill based fundamentals. 
 
Program Includes:
 
  • Power Skating Monday’s: Power skating to teach players the proper skating techniques encompassing; depth (knee bend and body position), power, agility, endurance, acceleration, edge work, and efficiency. 
  • Over Speed/ Agility Wednesday’s: Over speed will force players to push their limits as they are put through various drills with and without pucks. Drills will challenge players to maneuver through, around, or over, tires and cones.
  • Small Area Game Friday: Players will play a number of small area games challenging them to work on their skating, agility, and hands all while thinking at game pace. 
  • Off Ice Training: Players will be put through a 40 minute session of weight training and plyometrics/agility exercises. Weight training is designed to gain overstrength, while the plyometrics are working on the balance and agility of the players.
