The 18u AA Fire team opened up their season with a trip to the Grand Ole Opry and the city of Nashville the weekend of October 15th. The team has been practicing but with no game experience started out slowly in the first game against the home team from Nashville. A 3-2 loss was the result with a night to think about how to respond. The team came out Sunday morning and raced to a 3-1 lead but 2 late goals by the Nashville team resulted in a 3-3 tie. Not having their game legs quite under them yet, the team finished off the weekend with a 3-1 loss but encouraged in the fact that now they were ready to go to work and move forward in the 2011/12 season. Look out for the Fire in the coming weeks! GO FIRE!!!!!
